Re: Ringtones will not work - need help!

Ok,

That means they are valid file types to play.

Couldn't you have just one contact and loose the rest of your friends?  Smiley Happy  (Just kidding)

If you assign the tone from the contact let's reverse.

1)   make a new contact just bogus name and YOUR LAND LINE number. (so we can test)

2)   Go to media ringtones, assign first ringtone on list to be the MAIN RINGTONE (replace current temporarily)

3)   Assign the CURRENT main ringtone to bogus contact

4)  Call your BB from the landline and see if it defaults to main ringtone.

Let me know,

Thanks

Re: Ringtones will not work - need help!

Just out of curiosity when you view the contact in your address book does it show the custom tone there?

Re: Ringtones will not work - need help!

Sorry, I do not have answer for the question posed but I have another question.

I have a BB 8310, when I extract  it from the holster the e-mails are opened. This can be dangerous. How may I avoid this e mails opening?.

Thank you for your help.
