I have a new BB 8120 and am having trouble weith the desktop sync.
I can sync and back-up my data but when I try to run the multimedia portion, Roxio starts up - says it does not see the phone - then freezes completly (Not Reponding).
Also, the application Loader cannot find my phone either - but everything else can.
I've downloaded the most recent version (4.3) and am running on XP Pro.
Any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Not to be rude but there is a lot of confusion between the Desktop and Device Softwares. Both have to be installed for the apllication loader to work and maybe the Roxio. Don't know on that.
So if you have indeed installed both, 4.3 is said to be buggy and I doubt the desktop manager (I restart mine about 3 times) is much better. There's a lot of posters who still run 4.2 and are hoping that the mythical 4.5/4.6 will fix this.
You might have had a bad install so you could try that again.
Or install just the manager, without Roxio and then drag the files over.

Not a problem.
I do have the device software (actually just got off the phone with RIM and did an online check on everything) - the problem is with Roxio - they think its because of my installing the multilangauge vice just English version - will try that next.
I have been using device as a card reader to drag and drop - just irks me to pay this much for something and not have it work right.

For anyone else that runs into this problem with the Roxio software this worked for me.
Uninstall the multi-langauge version and download and install the English only version - works fine now.
