Re: Running my battery down?

I have seen a number of users have issues with FaceBook as well.

The fix would be to go to Options > Advanced > Applicaitons, scroll over the FaceBook application and click your Menu key and delete it.

Then, while powered ON, remove the battery and reboot the device (if you are not asked to do so automatically after deleting Facebook).

Re: Running my battery down?

Just FYI,

On Verizon, facebook returns when you get service books.

Thanks

Re: Running my battery down?

Yes, but the shortcut install icon is minimal--and not the program itself. That shortcut icon doesn't cause any problems.

Only the installed program causes problems for some users.

Re: Running my battery down?

I took it to verizon today and they pretty much told me I had to call customer service and tell them I need a new phone. Reason is because I bought it online and they would not give me customer services basically. So anyway let me try the facebook thing and see if that fixes it. Thanks.

Re: Running my battery down?

Still checking things out but I believe my issue has been fixed. After deleting the facebook app, I received 10 emails from my 2 email accounts I had set up. Some of which were a few days old. I have not notice the hourglass thing at all since I deleted facebook. Also when I went to bed last night my battery was 100% and when I woke this morning it was still at 100%. Before it would be either dead or about to die. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Re: Running my battery down?

Yep it was the problem. Been running without Facebook on there for a while now (well my last post) and have not had one problem. Kinda sucks but just go to facebook and setup text messages.

There was a problem with an old version of the Facebook application for Blackberry. Just install the latest and you should have no more trouble.

Re: Running my battery down?

The same problem was happening to me all day yesterday and today, and I finally deleted Facebook and now, it's fine.  All my emails populated back in, and no more hourglass constantly running.  Yea!
