SMS

Occassionally an upper case D appears above the tick symbols which shows that a message has succcessfuly been sent. What does the 'D' signify?

Re: SMS

I believe it means the message has been 'delivered'.

Re: SMS

Thanks, but in that case why doesnt it appear above most messages? There are many other messages that dont show this that I have had replies to, indicating that they also were 'delivered'.

Re: SMS

OK, so why does it occur randomly when I send SMS messages to the same recipient....sorry but there is no consistency to date.

Ah, I don't know.

I know in the past (in my personal experience), Tmobile delivered the D-Delivered for SMS, AT&T does not. I don't know why it would occur with one particular user off and on.

But my point was, that it is carrier-controlled whether or not they are sent. Your's seems whacky.
