SOLVED Blackberry Tour 9630 - Contact Sync Problems - Terminates Unexpectedly

[ Edited ]

EDIT: Solved with long workaround.  Ported Palm data to Yahoo Contacts and then exported to Windows Contacts using batch individual VCF files.  Cleared all contacts in the Tour then deleted the Intellisync folder under the User ->RIM-> Roaming-> Intellisync.    Tried to sync and finally success!

New Blackberry user striving for Crackberry status.  Trying to get data off a Palm Desktop Manager to the Tour.  I exported the Calendar and Contacts to Yahoo Calendar and then attempted a sync to the device.  Calendar worked fine and installed all previous and future data.  The contact sync (which is running one way to the device although at this point I have tried all variations) gets to the 100th record of 168 and then the action 'Terminates Unexpectedly".  I cleaned up the contacts and even removed the contact that it seemed to be arriving at then bombing on.

EDIT: Tried to add an event for tomorrow to the calendar and it terminated the sync at the same point as the Contacts.   It made it to the 100th Calendar entry then terminated.

I am using Desktop Manager V5 with Media Manager.

Blackberry Tour 9630 v

OS - Vista current service packs (32 bit)

Other things I have done:

- Changed CICAL to  email vs. Facebook

- Deleted the Intellisync folder per another post suggestion, re-started and tried again

- Tried to export Contact data as CSV but had an error that way as well (error 0)

Any other suggestions?  Really like the device but this was a big reason to upgrade as I am trying to consolidate devices that carry contacts, calendars, and memos.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I was the OP and the solution provider but I could never find a Solution button on my post so I edited it myself.  Kudos to me and I will mark it solved.  Thanks!

Blackberry Tour 9630 - Contact Sync Problems

I have a Blackberry Tour and I use the new Blackberry Desktop Manager to sync them.  I'm on a Mac PowerBook running 10.5.8.  I had some problems at first with some corrupt contacts but got that sorted and everything was working fine.  Now, about 2 months later, I performed a sync and noticed that a number of contacts are no longer in my Address book on my Mac.  They are still on my bb though.  So I thought, I'll just re-sync and it will reconcile.  But it won't!  It performs the sync and says it's successful but the contacts are still missing in my Address book.  I've tried uninstalling Blackberry Desktop Manager now twice and that doesn't work.  I even tried installing PocketMac which I used before but that didn't work either.  Can anyone help??
