May I ask your opinions?
Last Tuesday I received my BB Bold from o2. Upon receipt I noticed that the phone worked then went into SOS mode.
I did the soft reset - battery & sim out - and it worked for 10 mins then went off again. Phone o2 and they said they would replace it by yesterday but true to form they have run out of stock so I will have to wait.
Yesterday I had SOS up all morning then from about 1pm for the rest of the day it worked fine............today it worked till 9.30am now I have SOS up.
Has anyone else experienced this problem..........would you presume I have a faulty handset? or is there a setting I can tweak?

IT may be that it is the SIM that needs replacing. See this article from the Blackberry KB:

Again Many thanks Bifocals.
Have been in touch with o2 and they have found my SIM card is the original making it about 18 years old!!!!!! hence the fact it loses signal.
They are sending replacement so hopefully that will resolve my connection issues.

Hi, Just received Blackberry Bold on 02 and I had the same issue with SOS only.
To get around this change to 2G only as follows:
Manage connection -> Mobile Network options -> network Mode -> Change from 2G/3G to 2G only.
This worked for me!
