Re: Sample Pictures

Hi and welcome to the forums!

Here is a procedure from user John Clark that addresses optimization of the Blackberry.

Best article I've seen on it.

Thanks,

Try doing a battery pull..... Remove the battery with device "ON" wait 20/30 seconds and reinstall the battery, wait for device to reboot (reboot can take up to 2 minuets)

you should now see a memory impovment "I hope" I am about to try this myself....

let us know if it worked

Re: Sample Pictures

No. I Think there is a set amount of memory set aside for the sample folder. The memory for the folder stays the same no matter how much you delete. There are other things in the sample folder, such as ring tones!!

Re: Sample Pictures

Unless someone can figure out how to move the ring tones to the SD, I don't think it is going to help.

I think your right....  I used the app and deleted all the preloaded images and it did not free up any memory....  so what gives?

I tend to agree that the application memory is preset in the device.

If you deleted the images I would think that if reallocated anywhere that memory would go to the device memory.

If you don't show it there it's probably a preset system limit as well. (This is total supposition on my part.)

The article I posted didn't cover device OS 4.7.

Maybe one of the really smart users can answer this! Smiley Wink

Thanks,
