I have a same problem with my blackberry torch 9850 it won't turn on mobile service, On the home screen you will see a message SERVICE REQUIRED.
And note the problem ain't From the sim card. Cause no SOS service also

Normally when you click OPTION icon on the Home screen
Click DEVICE>ABOUT DEVICE VERSION. The types of network your smart phone can connect to are listed in the brackets after your smart phone model.
Now it shows no network band below the model.
What might be wrong
You're posting in a thread about Z10, your unrelated issue.
Call Verizon and get your data plan checked and that your Storm in is your account with Verizon.
They will likely need to your Storm MEID found at Options > About.
