Setting up blackberry enterprise server

Hello,

I just got a bold 9930 on Sprint, and I am trying to set it up with my Lotus email from work through enterprise server.

I talked to IT and they gave me a temporary password to set it up. I went to settings -> device -> advanced system settings (enterprise activation)

but in that menu I can't find anywhere to enter my work email and password.

Does anybody have any suggestions? When I searched to try to find a solution, I found an article on blackberry answers that seemed to say I needed to download the blackberry desktop software to my work computer to set this up, is that correct?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice

Jeff

Re: Setting up blackberry enterprise server

On your device, go to the Setup icon, or sometimes it might be called Email setup. Find that and do you see the Enterprise Activation icon?

Re: Setting up blackberry enterprise server

Really weird, it's as if the Enterprise Activation screen has been removed off the device.

Do this, Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.

Now look in the same locations where you did earlier, and where I recommended, and see if the Enterprise Activation screen is available?

Re: Setting up blackberry enterprise server

Hello,

I rebooted and the enterprise setup showed up in the menu. Now I am having trouble communicating with the server, but I will take this up with the IT department. Thank you very much for your help!
