I ordered the Bold 9780 but I'm afraid I got shipped another model instead (most probably the 9700). As they're almost identical in design, I have a very specific question about those "key-row-separators" (don't how to call them else). I mean these horizontal lines between the rows of keys.
One of the differences in design seems to be that the 9700 has SILVER separators. On the 9780 they are much darker and definitely NOT SILVER - and that's what I actually ordered.
Here's an example and the difference is clearly visible:
After lot of research (photographs and videos) I believe that these silver separators are a characteristic of the 9700. Can someone here confirm this? Or is there any chance to get an official statement about this from BlackBerry itself?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.
The BlackBerry 9780 smartphone was released with both silver and black design between the keys. An easy way to determine the model you are using is to go into Settings> Device> About , also your service provider can verify this with the BlackBerry PIN.
Some of the key differences are:
Internal flash memory is 256 MB (BlackBerry Bold 9700)
Internal flash memory is 512 MB (BlackBerry Bold 9780)
3.2 MP camera (BlackBerry Bold 9700)
5.0 MP camera (BlackBerry Bold 9780)
Shipped with OS 5.0 (BlackBerry Bold 9700)
Shipped with OS 6.0 (BlackBerry Bold 9780)
I hope this helps.

thank you very much! So the 9780 can have silver OR black design between the keys - that's exactly what I needed to know. I've read about the technical differences but it was impossible to find out anything about the design issue.
I guess it's a bit like gambling and you can't control whether you get the silver-version or the black-version, right?
However, thanks again and regards!
