Yes, we have made sure that there are no open messages and conversations, now we are trying to get rid of the smiley face.

Re: Smiley face

I found the solution in another posting - it is not a Yahoo instant message

It indicates a message or notification in the BlackBerry Messenger application.

Open Blackberry instant messenger and there should be a message there.

Sorry, No that didn't help. The smiley face is still there. We have made sure that there is no messages awaiting, open or otherwise. We are trying to get rid of the smiley face.

Re: Smiley face

As you say you are sure there are no messages, so we assume a glitch.

Try pulling the battery while the phone is ON, leave it out for a minute,

replace, let the phone reboot completely 1-3 minutes and see if the indicator is still there.

Please let me know!

Thanks

Re: Smiley face

OK, pulled the batt. out and let it sit for a couple of min. then replaced batt. and let it reboot. At firts the place the yellow smiley face was, it was a blue dot, then after full reboot the yellow smiley face replaced the blue dot. It still shoews 'Current Conversations -none-     Contacts 0/0 -none-    Could this issue be draining her battery faster than the batt. in my BB ??
