Sound Profile Problem

Hi, I Have the Blackberry Storm 9530 smartphone. I noticed that once I edit a particular contacts ringtone to something other that the "active profile" The 6 different Sound Profiles do not work when recieving a call from that contact i.e. LOUD, MEDIUM, VIBRATE ONLY... etc. The only Sound Profile that appears to still work for that contact is "ALL ALERTS OFF". I evenmade a Custom Profile and the same thing occurs... it does not work if recieving a call from a contact that has had it's ringtone changed to something other than the active profile. Does anyone have any ideas?

Not sure what this problem might be exactly, but if it is only doing this on one profile, you may just try making a new contact for that person and see if it will work then.  Then just erase the other.

I'm sorry, I should have been clearer. It happens when you change ANY contacts ringtone. Can someone out there try it on theirs and see if the same thing happens. After changing the ringtone on one of your contacts chage yor sound profile to "Vibrate" and have that contact call you and see if the phone STILL rings?

FYI -- There are a boatload of threads on this forum about problems with custom profiles, ring tones, and such. The quick answer is that there are problems that hopefully will be resolved in a future OS update. Those other threads will have lots of advice for workarounds.
