Sprint blocking MMS service book

Does anyone know why Sprint blocks the MMS service book?

Re: Sprint blocking MMS service book

They aren't blocking it.  They don't support it, along with Alltel, Verizon, and a couple other Carriers.

Ok, any reason why they don't support it? Verizon and Alltell both do.

I, pretty sure Verizon doesn't support it.  I'm positive Alltel doesn't.  I'm on Alltel.  Do you have information to the contrary?

Re: Sprint blocking MMS service book

These days MMS is considered as generic service. Why sprint is not supporting MMS?

I love my Curve! It is truly the best device I've ever owned! The only downside is I could ger a $50 phone from Sprint that has Picturemail! I hate having to e-mail pics!

I've got a Sprint Pearl and my girlfriend has a Verizon Pearl. The Verizon Pearl not only supports MMS, but it will also send two way SMS during a call. My Sprint Pearl will receive SMS but will not transmit during a call. Sprint and Verizon both use the same CDMA version of the phone, Verizon just supports it better.

If you Sprint users are being told by Sprint Tech support that the phone itself does not support MMS, and they don't want to look at the user's manual with you, then ask them to go to messages, click menu, and select 'view folders'. Then ask them what the MMS folders are for.
