The same happens to me in Spain. It does not depend on 3G/GPRS nor in the coverage. Some days it happens some days it does not. It might depend on the battery charge?
I heard that if you drain the battery below 10% it will happen, and the problem will continue until you take the battery off (reset).
My device is a 9520 and I have the software v22.214.171.1246
Does the new softare update solve this issue?

Nobody had this problem and solved it? I still can have the BB replaced by a new one, but I do not know if it is worth, as it might be a software issue. (changing device is quite bothering in my case, as I have to live with a third device for 2 weeks during the change, activate the enterprise in the third device, nad then again in the returned one. I mean I try by all means to solve the problem without an exchange..
Please any help......

Well, it seems after a couple of resets (battery out) the BB stopped doing it. I do not know how long it will last or hopefully it will not happen again.
This is the best solutino I could find out.

Well I have my ne Storm 2 9550 for less than 2 weeks now and this happens with calls - it takes exactly 20 seconds then disconnects itself,30 seconds it gives me call failed !!!
I noticed its with everytime i charge my storm this happens,and yes the restart by battery pull off helps it - but still every single time i charge my phone - i have to reset it so it doesnt drop the call !!!!
Any help - its really annoying and its my first BB and i have to say its not pleasent so far !
and it is NOT a network problem coz i tried my sim card in another BB Bold & its working pretty fine - so its for sure a BB Storm 2 issue - looked all around the internet (vodafone for ex) and its a common problem with no FIX !

I know exactly how you feel....
Believe me I digged in the net for many hours trying to solve it, but nobody dared to give me a solution.
Better not to talk about Vodafone or even BB service in Spain; they just said "send the device and in 2-3 weeks you will get it fixed". Easy to say, but 2-3 weeks without device is not feasible for me, and changing into the old one and back again when the new ones arrives again is not funny either, specially in my case because of some reasons related to the company I work for.
Some people mentioned htat it happens when you drain the battery up to 10% or below. Try to charge it when it is at 20% or higher and see if it happens again (it is not the final solution, but better than nothing. If this is not the case, try to re-set a few more times (battery off) to see if in any of the re-sets things get solved. (it happened to me in one of the resets, so it could happen to you also...
If it does not work in the coming days, you will have no choice but to send the BB back t obe exchanged.
Sorry for not being more helpful
(I assume you have the latest software; sometimes it may fix some issues; otherwise you can update even from the same device in one of the options)

I Have some problem also with my storm 2. i'm from indonesia, i think 3G in indonesia is not good but the reality i never got success receive call. every 20 or 30 always "CALL Failed "
So,,,,, Hi BlackBerry Developer. can u FIX this Problem ????????

I'm from Dubai, united Arab emirates and i have the same problem with my storm 2. i got it in November when i was in Boston and it used to do the same thing when i was in the USA and now in uae and i don't think its a battery issue because i have 2 batteries that i use and its never less then 20% i think its software problem so please BB developers try to help us with it because I can't send it back and it not has been released here in dubai, every time I go to a mobile phone shop they say we don't have storm 2 they don't even have storm 1 here in dubai.
