Strange shutdown

I had just taken a second photo. A message appeared and disappeared so fast I couldn't read it. Display went dark and I could not turn the device on. I tried for about five minutes without success. just as I was about to pull the battery, it came back on. No loss of data. The battery was at 95% and I have a 4gb card in it.

Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Re: Strange shutdown

On your blackberry device there are two places where pictures stored.

The first- device memory.

The second - media card.

Check your device memory. Open Options->Status

And transfer your pictures from device memory to memory card.

Open Media. Select "Pictures" but do not open it.

Click on menu button over "Pictures" icon and select "Explore"

You'll see two folders: Media Card and Device Memory.

Keep your device memory as empty as possible. And transfer your photos to Media card.

Re: Strange shutdown

Why don't the photos go directly to the media card? That's the way I thought I set it up.

I notice when I check the media card , it never seems to show anything but 3.7gb, no matter how many photos I take.

Re: Strange shutdown

Sorry, I don't get the same response (Explore) when I click on the menu button over pictures. I get an info pag but it doesn't look like yours. I have noticed that you experienced folks don't give step by step answers sometimes and your nomenclature is different. I could stop annoying you folks if there was a good user manual.

Re: Strange shutdown

Seems that you've filled up your device memory with your photos. And your memory card remains empty.

Re: Strange shutdown

Check links below. Every link describes a step and points to screenshot.

1. Select "Media" icon
2. Select "Pictures" icon
3. Open menu and select "Explore"
4. Navigate device memory and media card contents

You have filled device memory and because of that you get stange device behaviour. Free your memory device and transfer files to the memory card.

If aforecited steps do not work for you - use Media Manager to transfer files from device memory to memory card.
