Switch Device Wizard Problem

I have been using a Palm Treo with Palm desktop software version 6.2.1.  I recently purchased a Blackberry 8820.  The Blackberry Desktop Manager software that came with it is version 4.2.2.14.

I have tried to use the Switch Device Wizard and it will not work.  I get as far as the screen entitled, "Select Pim".  It offers two choices with bullets from which I presume you are supposed to pick one.

The instructions on the screen say, "Select the software from which you want to import PIM data:

Then it lists two choices:

Palm Treo/Palm Desktop software.

Windows Mobile Software for devices such as Pocket PC or Smartphone.

The problem is...on this screen it doesn't allow me to choose one of the bullets.

I have tried it with the Palm Desktop Open and the Blackberry Desktop Manager open..and..both devices connected the computer...and..combinations of these.   Nothing has worked so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Switch Device Wizard Problem

Personally, I would download and install the later version of Desktop Manager, v4.6

Download Desktop Manager from here:

Secondly, I don't believe you need the Palm desktop open, with the old device connected directly to the USB, it will read from the device.
