Switching off 8520 (Full off or Sleep mode?)

Hi,

Are these 2 different 'types' of switching off?

When I press the right hand RED power key,

I get the following:

TURNING HANHELD OFF - press any key to abort

then

TURNING HANDHELD OFF

If after a minute or so I move and accidentally catch the power on key,

the whole thing becomes immediately on.

Am I perhaps putting it to SLEEP and not really full OFF?

Thanks,

Donald

Sleep would lock the keyboard, so that pressing anything but the mute button again wouldn't wake it up.

A blackberry is never really OFF unless the battery is out.

It takes very little to push the power on button and for it to come to life.

Turn Off: If you want your device to turn on/off ata specified time then use the this option. In this mode calls/SMS/data connectivity will suspended.

Full Power Off: If you want to turn off your device completely then use this option.

Thanks for both comments.

Went to OPTIONS > AutoOn/OFF and enabled both Weekday and Weekend details.

Saved my prefs.

And now when using the "TURN POWER OFF" icon I get the

choice of Turn off or Full power off..

Thanks
