Sync BB desktop software with Windows 7 64 bit

Dear Friends, I am rally stuck here. I just bought a new laptop with MS office 10 and windows 7, 64 bit. I was earleir using xp and was able to sync my phone with laptop very easily. Now after buying the laptop I just realised that I am not able to sync my BB software and my phone and not able to transfer my data to my laptop.

I tried downloading outlook but it is not getting done, sighting, not possible. I also tried syncing with Morzilla and windows live as well But the desktop software  just not identifying neither of them.

Can some one please help me here, in how to sync my phone to my laptop with windows 7 and transfer my contacts and calender on to my laptop.

Other wise I will have to throw away my BB and buy some other phone.

Regards

Re: Sync BB desktop software with Windows 7 64 bit

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

First off, you must have installed one of the compatible Desktop Organizer apps:

  • KB12268Applications supported by BlackBerry Desktop Software for Windows for synchronization

Attempting to use anything NOT on that list will, of course, fail.

Secondly, you must have not have Outlook installed as "Click To Run":

  • KB24040 Support for Microsoft Office 2010 Click-to-Run installation

If you have it installed in that manner, you must correct that.

I have no idea how your prior machine was configured, but I know 100% that you can synchronize to a Win7X64 Laptop with Outlook 2010...I do it all the time.

Good luck!
