Have read thru everyone's responses -- thanks -- and will respond to the ones that seem to be leading to a solution. In answer to your question, yes I have the DM function shown in your screenshot, but it doesn't allow me to specify a specific Profile. It gives me the ability to select the Windows default or to browse my directory for a different Preferred Data Folder (in which, presumably, is a .pst file corresponding to a particular Profile).
I also have the Profile Options window shown in your screenshot, but it opens when I load Outlook (version 2007); it does not appear in DM. It allows me to choose which Profile to open: my personal (home) profile which I use solely for email or my business profile which I use for everything Outlook does. I maintain all my Calendar items, Tasks, Contacts, etc in the business profile. I am a sole proprietor so this one BB syncing to one laptop using Office 2007 and Windows XP.
In my BB, under Calendar Options, I see that I have five different calendars, the Device Default, one corresponding to the home Profile, one corresponding to the business Profile, a yahoo, and a vzw.bby one.
I want Outlook and the BB to sync the data in my business Profile. I don't really care or use the other BB Calendars and I hardly use the home Profile.
Do I start over?

This sounded real promising given that you run two Profiles also (although I use them differently -- I keep all data in one b/c it's where my business email, etc operates and the other is a Profile for a legacy home/personal email address). I got as far as your Item #5 where the "setup" button wasn't available, only the "advanced" button. I never got the chance to run the wizard and choose which Profile I wanted my data to map to/from.
p.s. thanks for helping out.

When I load Outlook I can choose from either Profile (it shows both). In Control Panel, Mail, Show Profiles, both of my Profiles show up.
In Outlook, I can also choose to set a particular Profile as the "Default." Would that tell DM which Profile to sync with? Would DM know which of my five BB Calendars to sync with?

Setting the Outlook default to my Business Profile didn't work. And I was stopped from running the full synchronization routine suggested earlier -- Item #5 did not present the button suggested. See my earlier response to that suggestion.
Thanks for all your help.
