Sync problems with Contacts

Does anyone have any advise or solutions, I have sync one way from computer to device for my contacts, usinb BOld 9900 and windows 7. Everytime I launch sync, the softwear asks me to confirm deleting my contacts on my Device. I have contacts on my device that i dont want to sync to my laptop, and I dont want to delete them on my bberry. Why  would it ask me to confirm deletion of contacts on my device if i have it set to sync one way only. Please help! Thanks.
