Sync via Desktop with out one of the phones or protect?

Hello all. I have just got a Curve 9320 after having my Bold 9900 stolen. I had not activated Protect on the old phone but had backed it up on the Desktop Software which still shows both my Bold and previous Curve in the phone list. Is it possible to sync the data from the Bold (especially contacts) to my new Curve without the old handset?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Sync via Desktop with out one of the phones or protect?

Hello Brock023 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

Thanks for your question on transferring data to another BlackBerry device.

You can restore the backup file from your old device to your new one. However, the data that will transfer over will be as of the date of the backup.

To restore the file, please see KB10339 How to use BlackBerry Desktop Software to restore data to a BlackBerry smartphone from a backup file

Hope this helps.
