Synchronisation with Outlook 2010

I have been trying to synchronise my Blackberry with Outlook. The problem started when Blackbery sent an involuntary update to my Blackberry Version 6 Desktop software. My Torch wouldn't work.

Orange issued me with a new Torch. This wouldn't work with my new Blackberry Version 7 Desktop software.

Orange then issued me with a new Bold 9790. This wouldn't work with Version 7 either.

I bought a new laptop and installed Outlook 2010 and Blackberry Desktop Version 7.0 and then 7.1. I tried synchronising the Bold 9790 again.

The latest error is:

Synchronisation Error 00:00:00 - GG [A black Diamond symbol] [A black Diamond symbol] [A black Diamond symbol]GGGGGG[A black Diamond symbol] isGGGG.

The impact of this is that I cannot share diary appointments between Outlook and my handset. I have spent over 50 hours and around 16 calls to Orange. They really don't give me any confidence. After many years, I am about to leave both Orange and Blackberry in frustration!

Can anyone help please?

Re: Synchronisation with Outlook 2010

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

It really should not matter what version of the Desktop Software you are running, though adding the Device OS Package installation to your PC can help it sometimes. I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

Good luck!
