Synchronising with Outlook calender and remembering more than 200 events...

Since getting my Curve 8310 and synchronising with outlook calender, every time I re-synchronise my handheld device has only remembered around 200 of my 1000+ events and offers to delete 800+ of the events from my outlook on the pc.

I have no wish to lose this data from both handheld and pc. So I always click the 're-sync' option so that I (effectively) re-transfer the info from my pc to the handheld every time, thus not deleting valuable data from my pc.

This strikes me as an ineficient bit of design, and most unlike blackberry. Therefore I have missed a trick somewhere, I am sure...

Can someone tell me where I am likely to be going wrong? I would be most grateful...

PS. I recently upgraded to the 4.5 version of the OS, and synchronised excitedly to see if this was an issue... It seemed to remember the data for the 1st day. But now that I sync again today. Back to its old 'do you want to delete everything tricks?'...

Hi and welcome to the forums,

Have you got your configuration to only transfer new?

Set coning to transfer date range, I usually put 365 on both sides

before this date and after this date.

Re: Synchronising with Outlook calender and remembering more than 200 events...

Hi, I was reading this forum and have this same problem...too much info being transferred to my Curve8330 from Outlook. Seems to have made my Curve run slow, anyhow, I would try your answer "set configuration to only transfer new events" but I don't know how. Could you give me the steps? How do I keep my old files (for future references) but keep what syncs to a minimum? Right now I am syncing 892 tasks! Crazy.

Thanks so much for any help
