Synchronization problems with BB Desktop Ver. 7

For the last year and a half, I have been synchronizing my BB Bold 9700 with my Windows 7 and Outlook 2010 on a daily basis, with no problems.


A few days ago I upgraded both the device's OS (from version 5 to version 6.0, bundle 3106) and my BB Desktop Software to version


The sYnchronization process runs for a minute or so (lots of data on the device), but then the process stops and I keep getting a "Synchronization Error" message, with the following text: "CRTranDB::AddNew : Duplicate record Id - 44EA5181". After pressing the "OK" I get thrown out of the process, with the device and compuetr un-synchronized..


I tried switching-off my Norton antivirus, to no avail.


Can someone help?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I suggest this thread:

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over (sometimes, updating causes problems), and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.
