Syncing Memos with Desktop

I have an error message "The organizer applications on your computer aren't supported" when I try to sync my memos on Blackberry desktop.  The messages says to check release notes however I cannot find anything about this topic in the release notes.

 

I have a blackberry 8310 and I wish to create files to transfer my contacts and memos onto my PC to be able to move them onto a new blackberry (I'll be handing back my 8310 with a gap of a few days before I have the new one.)

I get the same message for contacts, tasks, memos and calendar. Have you had any success finding a solution?
