I cannot complete organizer backup or sync because of a repeated error relating to something called CartId. Only media files sycn.

Accurate and complete error messages are always much more useful than mere hints...with the hint you provided ("CartId"), I find nothing useful. You of course can search the public KBs for yourself:
Otherwise, do please provide the exact and complete error message so that others may be able to better understand your situation.
