Technical Fault With My Blackberry 9300

To whom this may concern, I recently received a Blackberry 9300 Curve from 02.co.uk around of the end of May/ beginning of June 2011. Over the past month there has been a technical fault with the phone. The track-pad which I use to scroll and select things on the phone, began to freeze for a few minutes  from the start  of September 2011. From that date it has not been working correctly I have not dropped the phone from a height, there is no water damage to the phone.Also the chip which connects the Sim card to the phone has detached and will no longer connect any Sim. The phone is under 6 months old and we changed the O2 model to a Orange network by contacting Orange
