I've had my Torch for a year now, and when I plugged it in an hour ago to charge, the screen went black and it won't let me access anything. The phone will still turn on, I am getting messages, and the hourglass shows on the screen when I took out the battery, but the screen still won't come on. However, the backlight does show up. The battery was about half way charged before I plugged it in. How can I fix this?

Are you able to restart your device in safe mode as shown in KB17877?

Thanks for responding. I haven't downloaded any new apps in the past few weeks. I did try restarting it both in safe mode and taking in and out the battery, but nothing changed as far as being able to use the screen. The buttons still work and I know the actual touchscreen works, but the screen won't show any images except when I restart it and the hourglass pops up.
