There seems to be plenty of discussion about the 9900 not working with bluetooth on BMW cars but is anybody else having problems with a Torch 9810?
My phone won't connect automatically - or rather it claims to connect on the iDrive screen, but doesn't work/ I have to disconnect and then reconnect again. That is on a good day. Every couple of days, it fails repeatedly and I have to delete the connection in the phone (the car won't let me) and pair again. Sometimes this takes a while.
I am running version 7.0.0 Bundle 1465 which appears to be the latest software. My car is a 2005 BMW 6 series and it works fine with my wife's older Blackberry (a Curve I think) and my old Torch 9800.
Is anybody at Blackberry trying to fix this?

Yep I have a BMW 330d 2011 and my torch 9810 doesn't work with my car either! But my torch 9800 worked fine and as I travel a lot I'm just going to send it back as I can't be arsed to wait for blackberry to fix it! If its anything like the server issues of last month you could be waiting a while!!!! Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and get a poxy iPhone :-( not happy!!!

Please provide me with more detailed informations about solving the problem, because my Torch 9810 ist not running anymore with my BMW 5 series (2011) in bluetooth connection.

I was having all kinds of problems with my Torch 9810 and 2011 BMW 535. The freezing and dropping got to the point that I finally had to un-pair it.
AT&T finally released on OS update to 18.104.22.1683 (bundle 2404) that resolved the issues. Works like a charm now.

I am incredibly frustrated with the 9810; primarily (but not soley) regarding the bluetooth connectivity. My old Torch worked fine with my BMW 335 bluetooth system. However, like others, with the 9810 it loses connectivity after a few minutes and then hangs up my phone to the point I either have to take the battery out and let it do the reboot/reload etc etc) or just let it wait 15 mintes or so. I have loaded the latest software 7.0 bundle 2404 (v22.214.171.1243 platform 126.96.36.199.736) but it does not help.
Seems like a number of others have very similar symptoms ...
FOr this (and a few other) reasons I suspect this will be my last BB purchase after 10+ years ..
