Torch 9850 Proximity WiFi No Longer Works

[ Edited ]

I bought my new Torch 9850 in late February and started a new job in March. At my job there is seamless wifi across the entire campus. My blackberry would somehow "know" when I arrived at work each day and turn on the wifi and logon to my corporate network. I found this to be the most amazing feature ever! No longer did I have to worry about draining my battery because I forgot to turn off my wifi.
Then I updated my OS to 7.1 from 7.0 and now this no longer happens and I don't know how to reactivate it. The good news is I am back on 7.0 due to a device switch. The bad news is I cannot figure out how to make this work again. Please help.

Hey JackIstallings,

Welcome to the BlackBerry® Support Community Forums.

You may be referring to the Wi-Fi "Prompt me" option:

1. On the Home screen, click the Manage Connections icon.
2. Click Wi-Fi Network.
3. Press the menu key and choose Options.
4. Check off "Prompt me when when a saved hotspot is found nearby".

I hope this helps.
