Torch Wireless Services Problem!

I brought a new Blackberry today - the Torch - to replace my Curve and apps like Facebook and Twitter tell me that they are not included in my service plan.

Blackberry Messenger is working but emails are not nor are the apps mentioned above.


I rung the Vodafone help line who suggested I delete the Service Book details and restart my phone after 5 minutes of it being swtiched off but this hasn't worked.


Any ideas?

hi and welcome to the forum.

a battery pull while the phone is switched on is the first thing to try as this seems to sort a lot of problems out.

if youve spoken to vodafone then you must have the full data plan so they should be working.


with the emails have you set them up in setup yet. i had problems with .co.uk emails with yahoo and hotmail.

i had to start another account with a .com address which worked first time and then direct all my emails to these new accounts.

It is fairly obvious that you do NOT have the full data plan.  I would ring vodafone again and find out just exactly what your plan covers.  I highly recommend the full data plan or you will continue to find things that don't work.

I do have the full data plan, as everything worked on my previous Blackberry and I have not changed contracts just he model of phone.


I went into the Vodafone store today and they sorted everything out for me, my device merely needed connecting to the Wirless Network and it took them all of two minutes. Why they couldn't explain that over the phone is a mystery.
