Last night I dropped my phone while rolling over sleeping. I went to check it this morning and it was off. So I tried holding the power button...and nothing happened. I had to take the battery out and reboot. I thought it was nothing major. Then about 12 hours later, my phone randomly shut off again and I had to pull the battery out and reboot again. Can anyone help with the problem? I've noticed a newer OS, 18.104.22.1688. Should I update to that? Would it make a difference?

This might also be the problem, if you are using the ATT outter box cover it inadvertently squeezes the back cover thus pressuring the battery and may cause your phone to shut off. This happened to me with my new BB torch ,I took the battery out and rebooted and the screen freezed.I took it back to exchange the phone and a little while later the same thing happened to this phone. I decided to buy a new cover ,with a better grip, rubber, and automatic shut off when in holster, I have not had any problems since.
