It is almost unbelievable that a mobile device company could overlook a flaw like this. It's even worse when they already have a solution to the problem; competitors swipe motion or previous 2button bb models. Any solutions other than proprietary updates are unacceptable.
Am I really expected to put up with this?
Too bad such a wonderful device is tarnished by such a ridiculous problem.

I'm running .246, and I've found that after I press the lock button, pressing the "Volume" up/down buttons will also act as unlock buttons - so not only do I have to worry about the lock button on the top unlocking my phone, but bumping the side buttons as well will unlock it!
Bug or feature? If it's a "feature" can we please get a way to turn it off! Also, giving a customizable delay to holding the unlock button would be great.

It looks as though many users have the same problem, including myself. I would prefer to just keep the phone in my pocket, sans holder. I have not been able to find a straight answer yet to this problem (new rev, app, etc.). This is a horrible problem and had I known about it before hand, I probably would not have even purchased the phone!!

Obiwan... didn't you read their problem? The unlock key is getting pressed in their pocket (mine as well) and unlocking the phone.
"Oh, you need to lock the phone with the lock button" isn't a helpful response.
Good thing you're not in charge of life support or navigation.

I haven't looked at each and every one of these replacement locks, but the ones I did look at were a no-starter because they required the replacement/removal of the built in Blackberry password. This isn't acceptable for my workplace, so they're not valid options for me.
