Did a battery pull fix your issue? - Yes
Also a reboot (Alt + Right Shift + Del) also fixes the problem
Apps installed and their version if possible - Too many to list...
When writing your question
After having the torch turned on for more than a day I always see a noticeable lag. Especially with the home screen menus. Within applications the lag is not bad but still noticeable.
I tried Exiting all applications so that only the 5 apps that you can not exit showed up in the application switcher (Home, Browser, Messages, BBMessenger and Phone).
The lag was still there, then I looked at the applications CPU utilization and noticed the Contacts application was showing up as 99% CPU utilization. I didn't know what else to do so I did a hard reboot, after the reboot contacts is down to 0% CPU.
Everytime there is a lag it is always the same thing, contacts taking up all the CPU and a reboot fixes the problem for about a day.
Is there any way to troubleshoot or fix this??

Yes! It is supposed to help with all freezing and locking up of the phone among other things. I have heard great things about the software update. It takes about two hours so prepare for that!

Guess no update for me yet...
What is the latest version supposed to be?
As I mentioned above I'm currently on - OS version: 6.0 Bundle 278 (v18.104.22.168, platform 22.214.171.124)

Any other feedback on this? This is starting to become a major head-ache for me everyday. (sometimes two or three times a day).
Is there anyway to figure out what the contacts app is doing when it just sits at high CPU utlization?
Rebooting is a really annoying option as it takes a while each time.
