Trackpad not working well/freezing.

I just got my Blackberry a few days ago, and noticed that the trackpad is not working very well. It seems to either freeze intermittently, or not pick up the movement of my thumb. Either way, it's not working right. 

It's extremely frustrating when you just want to scroll over and choose an option but the thing won't work! 

 

Has anyone else had this happen to them with the new trackpad? Does anyone know of a solution, or should I return the phone for a new one?

I ended up taking it in and exchanging it for a new phone. Works great now.

Hi,

 

A lot of users are facing this problem.  A few have changed their track pad but still no good. Its better that you exchange your phone before its too late.

 

And about the track ball, you can check out the videos to fix it on youtube. You can rub it on a newspaper and then again use it. My friend did the same and his BB is working fine now.

My wife and I just got a curve each. Her one works great mine is intermittent. I'm going to send mine in. Newspaper didn't work although I did discover that the pad works well if i wear gloves !?

I got my Curve 3G today, and I am already having trackpad issues. Freezing a bit but whith a slight pressure it works. Contacted Virgin they said they will call me back to arrange replacement. This is so annoying.

hi

my trackpad seems to have a mind of its own and it is REALLY frustrating and i would like it to stop. its not necessarily left to right scrolling its vertical scrolling where i have the problem. it always goes DOWN. i have to fight against is to scroll up and even sometimes that doesnt work. if i dont touch it keeps scrolling down and down.

hi,

 

i have the same issue...

the vertical scrooling is awful...

but with a glove it works perfectly!

it's a total non sense...

 

does anybody have the solution?

I'm having the same problem with my new AT&T Blackberry Curve 9300.

 

I have had it about three days now, and today I am finding it is virtually impossible to use vertical scroll.

 

This is my first Blackberry device and I have to say so far I am very disappointed.
