Transfer data from old microSD card to new card (9550)

i just upgraded from my Storm (it died after a year) to a Storm 2 (9550).  How do i get the data and files off the old Storm's 8GB microSD card onto the new Storm 2's 16GB microSD card? (for now, i inserted my old microSD card into the Storm 2 so that i could continue to access my data)

Just use a micro SD adaptor to transfer the files from the 8GB to your computer and then to your 16 GB.

And if you don't have an card adaptor, inser the old one back into the BlackBerry, with Mass Storage Mode enabled, copy all contents to the PC, remove and replace the new card in the Storm, and copy all contents to the new card.

Good luck.

Re: Transfer data from old microSD card to new card (9550)

I just used my latest backup on the BBerry's Desktop Manager under backup and restore.  Make sure you back up regularly, and that you include all the items you don't want to lose.  If you've installed apps or modified settings before changing the card, do a new backup.  Then remove the old card, put in and format the new one and restore from the Desktop Manager and voila!

It worked like a charm and most of my settings remained the same.
