Transferring data to Z10

How do I transfer my contacts and media files to my new BB Z10 from my current BB Torch 9800? Standard SIM in Torch has been disabled by O2 and new micro SIM in Z10 enabled. Torch data backed up on BB Desktop software (MAC) but does not recognise Z10. Similarly BB Link (Mac) will not connect Torch? Torch software is 6.0 bundle 2921 if that helps (recently updated).

Re: Transferring data to Z10

Plug both your Torch and your Z10 into your Mac at the same time.  Once you've done that, open BlackBerry Link and you should be able to transfer your data.

Re: Transferring data to Z10

Contacts can be difficult. Do you have ANY contact groups in your Address Book? If so delete them, and again do a backup of the old device data using the Desktop Software.

Then using Link, you can do a restore of that backup data again (you can also specify ONLY the Address Book be restored).

Regarding media, you need to sync that from your PC, using the Link software, not transfer it. The media sync in Link should perform that.
