So I was trying to update my Blackberry curve (8310) to the new OS 6.0 software, but during the installation process it got disconnected. I tried unplugging the phone to my laptop and plugging it back in but I noticed the phone was undetected and it would not even turn on. The screen is completely black and the LED light flashes twice every 3 seconds. Not even pulling out the battery and attempting to restart the phone worked while placed on the charger. What's going on?!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You didn't say which, of the half dozen or so, methods of updating you were attempting. But, I suspect that, from your description of getting "disconnected", you may have been using the on-device update method that works over the air. If so, then it's very likely that you will need to reload your BB OS from a PC. Further, it is also very likely that all of your data on your BB is now lost. The OTA update method takes an on-device backup, from which it restores after successful completion of the update process. But, if that process fails (as in your case), that backup file is not usable ever again. Hence, it's likely that your data is gone...hopefully you have a separate PC-based backup of your BB data.
From a PC, you can install any OS package to a BB via this procedure:
Note that while written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC. You can even use a different carriers OS package by simply inserting, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, of a file named VENDOR.XML. Be sure that you remove, from your PC, any other BB device OS packages as having more than one installed to the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
If that does not work, you may need to wipe the PROM of your BB and truly load the OS from scratch...there are two methods I know of to accomplish that:

My signal bar indicated off. This started when i tired updating software, but my stupid 3rd world internet connection just kept dropping me. Today (worday) i realized the radio was off so i removed battery and restarted. Then i got this message Uncaught exception: Index 6 >= 6. Anyway I just clicked on the ok button to make it go away. Then I tried using my phone to make a call and it asked me if I wanted to turn on radio so i said yes. After a minute the call came through. I am now able to use all functions normally.
Now Im scared to update
