Trouble with first Sync to PC

I am a less than 24 hours new to Blackberry and I have a 8830 World Edition Smart Phone.


I have installed the CD and trying to make the first sync to my PC and have hit a road block.


It says that it cannot be sync'd because I am not connected to the internet but I am. Not sure what this means, can anyone help?

Hi and welcome to the forums!


Check the PC and disable any firewalls or virus protection programs, for the initial sync.

Once the internet is accessed by the desktop manager software you can run normally.
