Turn off Automatically Dim Backlight doesn't work

I have set "automatically dim backlight" to "off"; however, my Storm 2 9550 with 5.0 software still dims the display. Is this related to other posts and a bug with the software that we just have to wait for Blackberry to fix in a future release? Is there any workaround? Other settings: Backlight timeout is set to "20 sec", Backlight brightness set to "50", LED Coverage indicator set to "off".

Re: Turn off Automatically Dim Backlight doesn't work

No, that's the way it works regardless, as the device will sense the ambient light in the room or your surroundings and adjust the brightness. That's the case with all BlackBerrys, not anything particular to the Storm.
