After I did the upgrade, I now have the newest version 4.4.0.11, which is working ok now. The other version 2.0.0.16 is the one I had on my phone that was giving me the problem.  Hope this helps.

where did you go to get the newer version?  the one I see on blackberry app world is the 2.0.0.16.  Thanks for responding!

On my phone I opened my twitter, then from there I right clicked for Options or Settings, then it scroll to the bottom ans you should see a box that says check for update.  Select that and then it should search and then say newer update found do you want to intall, once you say yes it will say download now free from app world and once you select download now it will put you directly to app world where you can see it downloading.

Sorry, once you open your twitter then instead of right clicking press the "blackberry" key directly to the left of your trackball, then you should see options or settings.

hmm. I don't have that option. the only options I have are Help, Switch Application and Close.  Weird...

Ok,wow?  On mine this is how my list comes up, and in this order:

 

Switch Application

Compose Tweet

Go to User

Refresh

Switch Account

Settings- This is the one you need. it could say Options instead of Settings

Help

Same problem encountered on mine today, so just followed the advice on here to update and cross fingers.

Told the phone to update twitter, it told me it would update from 4.0.something to 4.1.something, then it went through various stages then said download failed.

So I now have the twitter icon but nothing behind it, so nothing happens at all when I try to open it - not even the irritating message about "understood but rejected".

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

 

Anyone any bright ideas?

now rebooted again and even the twitter icon has vanished

updated everything on the phone and then went to the AppStore and downloaded twitter anew
All now finally working again.
Just wish I knew what had gone wrong!

I'm starting to feel desperate, but really! I already had this problem, but this time it just lasts too long! Booo Smiley Sad
