In the USA OS 7.1 is shown as providing UMA on the 9900 see USA OS 7.1 site
If you go to the UK site UK os 7.1 site there is no mention of UMA. Is this because it is not available in the UK? Or is it just that UK do not think it is a priority feature from a marketing point of view? Maybe some providers support it and some do not?
I use Orange and have a 8520 at present, I want to upgrade to the 9900, but I must have UMA as I do not have a mobile phone signal at home.
Orange were no help as they are not shipping 7.1 as yet, and their tech support have not been trained on 7.1, however see this OS 7.1 for Orange So I wonder if anyone from Blackberry can provide an answer.

UMA is dependant on each individual carrier. RIM will not comment on which carriers support it and no carrier will give an answer to a forward-thinking question such as yours.
You might have to wait for your response to this one.

If your carrier already offers UMA then a device with OS 7.1 will "probably" work. However, it will need to be a device that is branded to your carrier. In OS 7.1 it's called WiFi calling and not UMA and handoffs from UMA to EDGE and back to UMA are no longer supported. My best answer is that it "might" work.
