UMA wifi calls

I have a BB torch with UMA calls capable and I want to know if the wifi calls to international numbers are free ? I have my phone in wifi prefered calling and i am getting charge for those calls

Your network service provider determines what is free calling in UMA, usually it is just free local calls.  Contact your network service provider for more info.

thanks for your answer, They told me that  I can only make UMA local CAlls and if I do long distance calls im going to be charged,,,, the question is if I turn off the operator net and I only use the wifi calls why they charge me ?
