UPDATE

Hi there,

I have plugged in my torch to the computer to update it, first update!! It said that it may take up to an hour, that was over an hour ago and the update isn't even half way through. It has been on Database SMS Messages for the past hour. I was wondering what to do in order to get it to work again.

Thanks

Re: UPDATE

Unplug your phone (despite being told not to.....just trust me here), wait a few seconds then plug it back in. BlackBerry Desktop Software will attempt to connect to it but will be unable to do so. At that point it will say you need to reload your OS and will offer you one......BAM, you're gold!

Re: UPDATE

I tried this and went all funny again. So i decided to do it on my phone, away from the computer. Was doing fine but now its stuck at 25% on overall backup progress.... grrrrr. Do you know how to fix this? Thanks Smiley Happy

Re: UPDATE

It's the weirdest thing......BlackBerry Desktop Software is the greatest tool for keeping your phone running smoothly and updating it but sometimes the software can be tempermental.  The simple fact remains:  you really need to connect to it to get your phone updated.  I've attempted to update using it many times when it didn't want to.  The secret is to try again (and again if necessary).  It doesn't always go through on the first try (for whatever reason) but if you keep at it, it should connect and update your phone properly.

Please keep trying and keep us up to date on your progress.  Smiley Happy
