Umm...WiFi?

Why is the app store data only?  I have a Pearl 8120 with wifi and it works great for browsing, gmail and even watching videos on youtube.  However, the app store will not let me on without a data plan?  Wow, great idea! (sarcasm)  First off, you're only alienating people who don't feel the need for a data plan.  Secondly, you're losing money from people like me who would gladly pay for apps but can't due to access restrictions.  Nice poor excuse for trying to compete with iphone/ipod touch app services.  Thanks.  If anyone has gotten this to work without a data plan and only on wifi please let me know.

Re: Umm...WiFi?

Apart from applications that are only sold through the App World, you have no problem, since you can buy them on other webstores.
And there aren't many that are exclusively sold on the App World...
