Hi shooter45 and welcome to the Blackberry Forums
If you already talk with your carrier Technicians, the only option i think is changing the device and check if the problem persists.

I had the same exact problem. I must have checked with Sprint/Nextel support like 3 times. But, I recently installed the new BlackBerry Handheld Software Version 22.214.171.124 (225) that is available at www.sprint.com/downloads and after I installed this new OS, everything was fixed and I was able to receive and send text messages with no problem.
Hope this helps

How about this.
A device is able to receive SMS until it is activated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Thing is everyone on the Enterprise Server has the same IT policy and can receive SMS messages. A device switch was already done. If the phone number on the device is swicthed to a new phone number the device is able to receive SMS even after activation but everytime the original number is moved to a new device it is able to receive SMS meesages until BES activation.

This happened to me. When not registered on the corporate BES, everything worked fine. When registered, I couldn't receive any SMS.
I went to Options - Security - Firewall and found a policy had been set to block incoming text messages (SMS). So, I unchecked it and it all worked.
Corporate is going to look at why the BES pushed this policy to my phone.
