Re: Unable to connect to the internet?

Hiya!

Please provide a little more information. What happens when you try and Browse? Which browser are you using? Are you receiving any error messages?

Re: Unable to connect to the internet?

Alright, so your carriers data network does work. Chances are, it is either the browser settings in your device, service book issues, or your carrier has specific provisioning restrictions on your account. Do you know what kind of data plan you have? I know Rogers in Canada has a blackberry plan that just has IM and email, but no browsing.

I assume you are with AT&T or is this unlocked?

With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.

then try again

Re: Unable to connect to the internet?

your carrier might not have the current 9800 Torch service books to enable to browser OTA.

Please contact them to see if that is the case.

Re: Unable to connect to the internet?

Ah so you are using a different SIM card in the device? The Torch currently is exclusive to AT&T and thus your provider may not have the required service books to support the browser.

go to your providers BIS website (usually is 'provider.blackberry.com')>Login/register>click 'help'> send service books.

See if that helps.

You tried the battery pull already?

If the Service Books dont help, call your Provider for their browser settings.
