Unable to restore contacts

I am a new BB user. I had transferred all my contacts from my earlier phone to my BB Curve. Yesterday I took my SIM out and put another SIM in my BB. However, after I reinserted my SIM, I found that none of my contacts existed. Pls suggest if there is a way to restore my contacts (I had not taken any back-up).

Unless there is no back up or contacts are synched to any email platform then there is no chance of getting them back. But this is weird that just removing SIM cad all contacts are wiped out!! Are you using any 3rd party security software protecting phone theft?

Thanks, Tanzim. Indeed it is very strange. All my phone settings also changed. Is it possible that all data has been overwritten and hence, there is no way I can retrieve my contacts?
