Uncaught Exception: Can't play media

I have a verizon bb curve.  I am running 4.3 OS.  I am getting the following message after reboot:

Uncaught exception: A browser content provider for audio/mid MIME type has already been registered with the browser.

Browser works fine.  The problem is that when I go into the media player to play music, I get the following error:

unable to play content.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Uncaught Exception: Can't play media

Hi and welcome to the forums!

"I am getting the following message after reboot"

Do you mean turning it off by button or pulling the battery?

Please list the types of music files you have loaded, .mp3 .wav etc.

Go to Browser start it, menu key options, cache operations, clear all categories.

Let me know!

Thanks

Re: Uncaught Exception: Can't play media

I phone Dynoplex as I was getting the same message.  The technician had me delete module dynoplex_jsr211 and restart the handheld.  Problem resolved.

To delete the module, go to SETUP >> ADVANCED OPTIONS >> APPLICATIONS, then press the Blackberry button and go to MODULES.

Find dynoplex_jsr211 in the list and delete (you can do this by pressing the Blackberry button again and finding delete on the menu)

You may be prompted that the module is currently in use.  I confirmed that I still wanted to delete the file by pressing YES.

You will be prompted to restart the handheld.

Following a reboot, the error is gone and I can play music again!

Re: Uncaught Exception: Can't play media

Thank you for your ideas on this issue.  My BB doesn't allow me to delete the file from eoffice so I called dynoplex and they took my pin number and are going to email me when the new bversion comes out that fixes this issue.  Smiley Happy
