Have somehow erased the shortcut that lets me control how the phone rings (silent, loud, normal, phone only, etc...)

How do I get that control icon back on the blackberry menu?

Re: Unerasing

The profiles icon can't be deleted. At worst you hid it from view. From the home screen press the menu key and select Show All. Or you can change themes and see if it shows up on a different theme.

Re: Unerasing

Thru desktop manager do a backup then unplug device and go to options/security/general then click menu key and select wipe device. Tho once you do that it'll clear third party apps and clear your phone book. Then after phone reboots check to see If icon you deleted is there. Next reconnect to pc open DM and restore select file you just backed up then go thru its process you should be fine. The restore should put your contacts back along with other settings. Any third party app may need to be reinstalled
